"My names Sophie, 33 from Devon I’m just over 12 months into my journey as a below knee amputee. I recently took up Rowing as it was something I’d never got round to trying but always wanted to. So with that I gave it a go a few weekends before my surgery but little did I realise that from June 2017 when I ventured back into the boat , I’d be Sculling our rivers and digging deep in our oceans whilst training 6 days a week as an Elite Athlete working hard with GB para rowing performance development squad. I’ve attended several camps and I’m classified at both national and international level .

My worlds gone from strength to strength and it’s not gone without difficulties or challenges but you can only be defined by what you put into it.

Being a Brand ambassador is very rewarding and helps spread that sense of feel good and promotes that you can attitude whilst looking the part both on land in the gym and on the water. So who best to join me on my journey than Squared & Buried."

"My name is Lucy, I am 34 and I live in Bristol. I learnt to row here and have been rowing in various sweep and sculling boats for the last five years. In that time, I have started to cox and coach and give back to both the clubs I have been involved with.

Whilst I haven’t done the bigger events like Henley, I am a representative of your ‘normal senior rower’ – I work full time and train in my own time and thoroughly enjoy it!

Being a brand ambassador will be a good way to promote a quality brand both on land and on the water."

"I am a 16 year old student from South Australia, I row for both Pulteney Grammar School and Adelaide University Boat Club. My passion for rowing started 2 years ago. First I enjoyed the social aspect of it, I had just moved schools and it helped me settle in well. Soon it was more than just a place to socialise and became a place to push my limits and strive to be the best I could be, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Throughout my 2 year rowing career I have held multiple Australian records, I have accumulated an impressive silverware collection and have been offered places in Division 1 colleges in America.

Apart from rowing, My hobbies include: Cycling, Pokemon and eating! I have two very sweet French Bulldogs. My favourite music genre is the 60s.

I love being a brand ambassador for SQUARED & BURIED, I am excited for them to grow and I’m happy to be part of their journey."

"I started rowing as an undergraduate at Christ Church, one of the colleges at Oxford University, back in 2012. Before that point I'd never considered myself a sporty person in the slightest, but the minute I found rowing, I fell in love with the sport. In 2015 I began a DPhil, still at Christ Church, and in 2017 I was lucky enough to represent the college boat club in the Inter-Collegiate Race at the Henley Boat Races.

Later that year I went on to trial for the university with OUWLRC. After racing in their victorious Tethys crew for the 2018 Henley Boat Races, I started training in the double scull for BUCS (the British universities championships). Through racing at BUCS we qualified to go and represent GB Universities at EUSA (the European university championships), where we made it through to the final and ultimately finished 4th.

It's been an incredible ride, and looking back on it I realise that I've taken the sport to a level I would never have believed I was capable of when I started out. And I don't plan to stop here! I'm really excited to be a brand ambassador for Squared & Buried for the next steps in this journey, as they are a company that promote the core values of rowing that first drew me to the sport."
